Steel Security Doors

Our Ilkeston self storage facility features Latham’s double skin high-security heavy duty steel doors with a 19 bolt locking mechanism designed to withstand any attempted damage.

Our storage units are internal (inside a fortified, secure building), which makes for a higher-end service with several layers of security and access, including outside gate and main entrance.

Assuming an intruder gained access to the premises, how easy or difficult is it to get one of our doors off its hinges? Virtually impossible.

A lot of the other storage services are partitions without roofs (just meshing), and some of them are like metal garden sheds – flimsy. Would you be comfortable storing valuables in a unit that people can see into if they climbed on top? No. We wouldn’t be comfortable either, and we didn’t go down this route.

In addition to our steel doors, we have fitted privacy locks as an optional extra security layer. The privacy lock requires you to supply your own padlock with your own key.

With our 24/7 CCTV we would be alerted immediately to any activity outside or inside the building.
